Help on playing the f#m chord on guitar?

I can't spread my fingers that far between the chords, I can, but I can't put enough pressure on it to strum well. Can I put like duct tape on it so that it would be easier

    you just have to keep on practicing fingering that chord. after a while, it will come instantly with no effort. just keep practicing and it will feel natural.
