How to take songs off iPhone but keep them in iTunes?
I have music I need to get rid of on my iPhone but still want to keep it in my iTunes library. I have unchecked the songs I don't want on that column but they are still synced to my iPhone...

When you sync, there are two ways to do so:
Automatic - if you want this, then you have to go to the iPhone tab -> Music tab (not the sidebar, the tab in the bar up top - see links below) -> hit "Selected artists,..." and then hit sync, it will sync checked songs and should delete all unchecked songs from the iPhone.
Manual - Basically if you want to move a song onto the iPhone, then drag it in. Otherwise, it won't automatically go on it. This allows you to delete songs individually from the iPhone. To select this, uncheck "Sync Music" or check "Manually manage Music".

Plug your iPhone into your computer. Click on your phones name and click music at the top. From there you can select the songs/artists/albums ect you don't want. Hope I helped
