automotive question/speedometer fuse problem?
The speedometer fuse on my 1996 Ford F150 keeps blowing out. As soon as I turn on the ignition switch it pops again. While driving I could smell a burned odor in the cab. Without the speedometer the transmission will not shift properly. When the fuse is replaced the odometer shows briefly. Any suggestions? Thanks

This is most likely due to a shorted PSOM (programable speedometer odometer module) this module receives the signal from the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) and drives the spedo & odo. and transmits the signal to the PCM (powertrain control module) for transmission shifting. The PSOM is located behind the speedo. Remove the speedo cluster, disconnect the PSOM and see if the fuse blows, If not replace the PSOM.

Get your energy instantly from the battery...... Add a relay to turn the circuit on. Wire the relays control coil to the ignition swap so when the hot button is grew to become the relay closes powering your 30 amp device. Locate the relay in close proximity of the battery and fuse it near the battery additionally.... That manner the excessive present shouldn't be going via the ignition change - best ample current (not a lot) is drawn to power the relay coil.... The relays contacts will elevate the majority of the current to energy the hydrogen turbines....
