No sound and no light. You need to tell your body that it is time to shut down. Any light or noise will only keep you awake more. Take deep breaths for awhile, keep your eyes closed and try your best to refrain from opening them. Sometimes what helps me is thinking about one specific thing- like something good id like to have happen to me and I let it play out in my head and before I know it - i'm asleep!
Other things to keep in mind is having a consistent sleeping schedule, drinking only water after 7-8, keeping a comfortable temperature in your bedroom, and not taking naps during the day- even if you're tired.
Also excersizing daily helps with sleeping.

If you have any recordings of raindrops or something, play that. Make sure the room is dark and you are comfortable. Don't think about sleep, and just relax. Play a little mind game where you think about something, and something that thing reminds you of, and something that thing reminds you of, and so on.
If all else fails stay up till the time you were then sleep and get up at the right time and you'll definitely sleep the next night! :D

meee too, take a simple sleeping pill, or make your room cold, turnoff all lights, lay comfortable or eat something heavy to help you feel tired
