After braces have been taken off, when is it okay to eat?

I had my braces out 2 hours ago, and my teeth feel really fragile because I'm used to the support of the braces - I don't know if It's okay to eat right now or not. Thanks in advance.

    I think a few hours or until your teeth feel better.

    I've had my braces for 3 years and I'm hopefully about to get them off (: but I still remember getting them on and the first thing I ate and when.. The first thing I ate was McDonalds chicken nuggets about maybe a hour after I got them.. I had to tear the chicken in small pieces and chew them in the back of my mouth.. I ate slowly but I ate them fine (:

    Best time is after a week, at least that's what I've been told when mine came off
