Problem with 1988 f150?

I am rebuilding a 1988 Ford f150 with a 5.0 engine. The engine starts, runs about 10 minutes then dies. Trying to re start it, it cranks over then acts like the battery is dead. Wait about 30 minutes, and it starts up again with no problem and repeats the cycle. New battery, solenoid and alternator in it. Anybody experience this before? Thank you.

Update:

Also new fuel filter.

Update 2:

It is fuel injected

When the engine fails do a quick check to see if you still have any spark. Its possible that the electronic ignition module may be on its way out (when faulty they work for a while then fail, cool down then work again) Check it as soon as it fails and the engine is still hot.

These are VERY durable and trustworthy. Remove your battery and have it fully charged at auto parts store. AUTO ZONE will check your charging system for you for FREE> POWER WASH your engine with GUNK ORANGE to remove all signs of road scum debris and filth from alternator, starter motor and the engine itself. CLEAN engines will always work their best, and ALTERNATORS can get clogged up with oil drippings and other road contaminants a like ROAD SALT. Take $20-30 to the local quick lube and have them remove and clean your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. ALL Ford engine have an easy way to do this. THe IACV controls idle, start-ups, and air/fuel mixtures on the fly from O2 signals. Have them clean your THROTTLE BODY as well, since old sludge and oil vapors will have collected there. Once ALL this is done, change your [lugs to BOSCH IRIDIUM plugs. They simply make starting easier, give more power, and economy and lower your emissions, too. If necessary get a full MOTOR FLUSH based on sludge formation. Switch over to MOBIL ONE 0W-30 engine oil which reduces friction and improves your economy and power. After ALL This is done, expect the engine to start with only a mild "TAP" of the key. FORD engines are some of the best and very thoughtfully engineered for ease of working on. Expect up to 20% better power and economy, ALso your engine sensors and converter will last THREE times as long. GOODLUCK!!

I agree with douglas , probly a worn out fuel pump , i have a lawnmower that would did that started up fine for about 30 minutes then just died had to let it sit for about and 1hr before i could use again

Sounds like the engine is really tight. Try pouring a little gas into carb. when it starts(and watch-out for back fires from carb.)might be a worn out fuel pump!!
