Filing insurance claim yourself? HELP?

so this dental office told me they don't file insurance claims themselves but that they could give me a "walk out statement" and i could file it myself, but i have no idea what that means or how it would save me any money if i have to pay the same day i have work done?

Update:

thank you!

You need to contact your insurance company and ask them the procedure for filing a claim. Each company will do it differently so nobody here can really tell you how. However, once the claim is filed and if approved by the insurance company they'll send you a refund check.

You call the insurance employer, ask for the claims branch and supply the main factors The ins. employer sends an adjuster and in case you're content textile you compromise for the furnish. If not then you definately furnish documentation of the quantities in question. Hiring an adjuster is a final motel used while declare is for a complete loss.

It means that you send paperwork to the insurance company and they may eventually send you back some money, but not a lot, and not nearly as much as you paid the dental office, and maybe not any.
