Paper recycling question?

Hi Yahoo!,

I was wondering what I can do with colored paper since it can't be recycled. I don't get it that often but I just read that bleaching it is a harmful process. I know I can avoid the problem by not using it in the first place but I'd like to know some creative things to do with it instead of just throwing it out or burning it.

Thanks. :)

They can be recycled. Recycling is a manufacturing process. They take coloured and non coloured paper and shred and bleach them at the processing centre till they end up with a end product that is neutral raw material for paper production.

Source(s): I saw it in an episode of How It's Made on the Discovery Channel.

Look into making paper bricks for a fire. They can be used as heat heat source in a wood burners, or to start a camp fire with out a fuel.

who told u that colored paper can't be recycled, it can be.

  • It can. Also make sure it doesn't have any food stains (such as grease stains in a pizza box)
