Are you allowed to report people who keep linking to their own questions?

I don't mean if they link to it and say nothing else, but if they give an otherwise reasonable answer, but at the end say something like "answer mine please! [Link to Q]" is that against the rules and can I report them for it? If it isn't, do you think it should be?

Yes, it's solicitation. I report those often.

"Please keep in mind that if you answer a question with a link to another similar question you have answered, it may be interpreted as solicitation or point-gaming, and this may result in the removal of your answer."

"What about links in an answer to a question I posted?

Some people end their answers with “Please answer my question: http://answers.yahoo.com/%E2%80%A6%E2%80%9D But the question they link to often has nothing to do with the question you were asking. This kind of linking violates the Community Guidelines – it is the same as spamming unsolicited links."

It is a violation, however it is not really a terrible one. You can report it but I find enough bad violations to keep me busy without bothering with them.

    It is a violation apparently.

    Soliciting & points gaming.

Especially if they do it on every question they answer.
