Why won't she love me after what I've done?

Question

One day in school, her ex bf pull a knife and trys to stab her in the chest. Without thinking, I jump in front of her and get stabbed. He punctured my left lung and caused internal bleeding. The next thing I know I wake up in the hospital after surgery. The first face I see is hers with tears rolling down her face. Then I hear her scream no as I pass out again. Next thing I remember is waking up to her again. This time I was wide awake and was able to basically communicate. She told me that if I wasn't there shed be dead. She couldn't hug me tighter. I later find out that she was in an ambulance behind me because of emotional tramma. The next day she was discharged but never left the hospital until I was awake. I was in a coma for a week. She never left my side. When I left the hospital, she would come over at 6:30 am and leave at 4:45 pm. Her parents took her out of school to be home schooled fyi. So, when I tell you this you better listen, when people say they'll take a bullet for her, most are just saying that. But there still are guys that mean it. Getting stabbed in the chest doesn't feel nearly as bad as a broken heart in your chest. I know what both are like. Stabbed hurts really bad because it's getting f*cking stabbed (what do you think its gonna tickle?!). But a broken heart takes forever to completely mend. It hurts emotionally and physically. Love strikes pain into the very depth of a soul. It isn't a toy so don't play it. . Until that girl comes around, I'll still be here for her. I'll take being stabbed a hundred times as long as my family and her are safe. 

No girl will ever love me. She just texted me saying that she considers me her older brother. I just want someone to understand me. I'll take a knife to the chest for her. I can't say that about any other girls I liked before her. What do you think I should do? Move on or try to still go out with her?

I think you should still be close friends with her. If she doesn't want what you want now, as the relationship gets stronger, her perspective of the relationship may develop as well. If you are willing to get stabbed for her, then you obviously wouldn't even mind being like brother to her, even if the relationship doesn't go any further than that. Right now, you are just hurt and confused.

Oh, and don't listen to those people saying she doesn't deserve you. Just because she see's him as a brother?! That is foolish. Don't listen to them. She's not rejecting you! Goodness, she's accepting you! As someone closer than a friend- as someone she can go to with problems that she doesn't feel she can share with anyone else! Everyone just thinks it's the craziest thing that she doesn't love you as a lover! She does love you! As a brother! She's not belittling you or your actions in any way. Being thought of as a brother isn't second place and shouldn't be thought of as so. Don't get discouraged that she doesn't see you the way you taught or hoped :) 
Don't move on or still try to go out with her. Just be there for her like you always were :)

Keep trying. I've said stupid things like that and total regretted them so maybe she's regretting that too. If not a relationship right away still become close, as you have something no one else does with her; you almost died for her. Thats bound to bring up a connection. If she doesn't fall for you she's blind. You sound like an amazing guy and some girl will love you, TRUST me. I think the same thing way too much so I get where you're coming from but you're going to find her, that perfect girl. I honestly think that there is someone out their for everyone; your soulmate if you will. Cheesy, cliche, possibly stupid, but I honestly believe that and you should too. I don't know if its her, but some girls need time and persuasion. Maybe she thinks you think of her as a sister. I mean, I would save my sisters life too. Keep trying but if it doesn't work please don't be heartbroken for ever and think you'll always be alone because you won't. You sound brave and amazing and kind and genuine and in love. You also sound smart; you answered my question. Don't give up and don't EVER lose hope. You almost died for her; you could have died. But you survived. Thats got to be a sign. Something good will come from this.

When I was 13 this child moved into my regional, and i inspiration God's gift females. So this one time he used to be round I pretended that I knew the right way to participate in these particularly developed karate moves. A couple of my man associates showed up and realized what I was once doing right away, and on the grounds that they knew i could not do any of it, they started "egging me on". Long story quick i ended up flat on my back, within the mud, they usually all laughed their heads off.

Wow! First of all, you are brave and amazing! I would give anything for my bf to do that!! And he is a marine!!
