Actually new studies have shown that psilocybin, as well as LSD, mescaline, and ayahuasca, are all able to treat and sometimes even completely cure mental illness. Psilocybin seems to be specifically useful for people suffering from OCD. As for your anxiety, it can treat that too, but just be careful with dosing. The higher you dose, the more likely it is you could have a panic reaction. But if you can smoke marijuana and not get any anxiety then you can definitely handle shrooms since part of the effects of a marijuana high is paranoia. There are countless studies out there that you can look up online that says psilocybin and other psychedelics have so much potential for treating mental illness and addiction. Just always take set and setting into account before you do any of these substances. Always take them in a safe place and if you take them with people, make sure they are very close friends and will not bother you during your trip. To the person who says to not do drugs at all just for the sole fact that they're illegal, obviously is not somebody who has done any research into psychedelics and into the fact that they've been used for THOUSANDS of years to treat all kinds of physical, mental, and spiritual ailments. To the person who said their dad took shrooms and tripped for a month and nearly died, I don't know how many shrooms your dad took, but if you're saying he almost died, that wasn't from the shrooms, but may have been from something he was doing while he was on shrooms, which if he was in that situation then it's clear he wasn't prepared for the experience and did not do it in a safe enviornment. Shrooms don't just kill people, there has never been a reported death from shrooms ever in history. In order to actually die from shrooms you'd have to eat 100-200 pounds of them, and there's 453 grams in a pound, and 3-5 grams is an active enough dose.

get off the meds, firstly!!!!! and that is important.. Sometimes you may just have to live with what you were given... There are many great people in history that had OCD even before people knew what that was.... And what do you think would have happened had they tried to suppress the OCD with meds.
