Yes, you can. You might want to give him a few additional high calcium and high protein treats here and there, but he will be fine on adult food if needed.
The big question is what kind of adult food are you using I would strongly encourage you to use one of the dry foods from the "top 10" list, i.e., the ten highest rated dog foods. They are a little bi more expensive than the others, but your dogs will have much fewer digestive issues, better teeth, fur, and energy levels and that will make it worth the extra pennies.

Really debatable this.
Some will say that a puppy needs the extra protein etc within a puppy food, and others will say that it will make them grow on too quickly which can cause joint problems.
I can see both sides there but am really not qualified to give a true and correct answer. However, I feel that very few people coming on here really would know either.

If you're feeding a puppy a high quality dog food, they don't need puppy food. But if its a cheap brand with lots of fillers, puppy food would be better. Both my last two dogs got Orijen right from 9 weeks on because its one of the very best of the commercial foods.

Puppy chow has more protein to accommodate puppy's energy and growth. Adult dog food has nutrients that are good for more mature dogs.
Once or twice is fine, but you need to feed the puppy its "baby food" and save the grown up stuff for the adult dog..
