If you don't wear a tampon you will bleed noticibly in the pool and in your suit. It will be very obvious to everyone. There's no way to avoid it. You can't go without a pad for even one minute, and you can't wear a pad in the water. It's either a tampon, no swimming at all, or bleed on everything. Your choice. The last thing you want everyone talking about all year is "That girl who bled in the pool! Gross!". Seriously, the owner of the pool would have to drain it and re fill it if that happened. It's just as bas as pooping in the pool. Take no chances. Tampon or no swim.
You must bring extra pads to change into. Pads get soiled very quickly. No guy I have ever known has ever looked into a girls stuff and found a pad. Take a tote bag with you and keep you supplies in there.

Honestly, I've gone swimming on my period before and nothing bad happened. It depends on what color your bathing suit is...it might get stained a bit but you can most likely remove it, and no the blood did not go everywhere but mine are always really light. Something about being in the water tends to stop it for a bit. But obviously be careful when standing up etc. Wouldn't want it running down your leg. You might want to bring a cover up or dress or something for when you get out of the pool. As for hiding your pad, you could keep it in your purse or just stash it somewhere where it's unlikely that anyone will find it? Or if you're really that worried use tissue temporarily and flush it when you're done.

Ok, First of all your first period will often be very light or last only a couple days. If you get lucky, you might have stopped by Saturday. If that isn't the case the good news is that you stop "bleeding" in water so you won't have to worry about it going through your bottoms. My advice would to keep a pad in your bag and put it on right after you're done swimming. Good luck!

If you want to go swimming use a tampon! i dont feel comfortable trying it for myself but if you are then go ahead. But DONT wear a pad then go inside the pool becuase it will get all soaked and big..just not good looking :P and yes it will most likley spread all over the water and your bathing suit top.
Try doing other fun activitys at the party so you dont get embarrased if your period spreads all over the place in the pool!
Good luck(:

all you can do is wear a tampon or not swim. if u swim witout yes itll spread in the water! take a purse to put your feminine products in or a backpack with your towel.
if you cant do tampons say a family thing came up and you cannot make it!

all you need is a tampon, and take a break from swimming like every 10-15-20 minutes (depending on you your flow of blood feels) to change tampons... (bring plenty of tampons to last the whole pool party
