How to remove DRM from ebooks?

Question

I have calibre and the plug ins needed to remove DRM from kindle ebooks but I can't get it to work. I've looked on other forums and am now getting a bit fed up. Most of the kindle books I'm trying to remove DRM off are books purchased on a kindle app for android phone so I have no serial number to input into the plug in. I've bough a kobo ereader as I preferred it but want the ebooks off my kindle! Is there a way around it?

Don't worry about it.
All the Kindle books you purchased are stored in your Amazon account. 
1. Install free Kindle for PC on your computer and register with your Kindle account.
2.GO to amazon's official site and sigh in.From "your account",select "Manage your Kindle" and you will see your Kindle library with your Kindle books listed.
3.For one book, click the "Actions..." button and select "deliver to your PC" and you will get it on the cloud of your Kindle for PC. Double click the books to download.
All the kindle books can be downloaded to your computer.  
Then you can remove the DRM of your Kindle books.
