What's a good network name for the New Ipad?

I'm trying to get my "New Ipad" up and running and I'm having difficulty. To get a network connection I must give it one. There are no options, just a fill-in-the-blank. Also Security is right below the Network connection blank but it gives 5 options. Which one should I choose? Why?

1, WEP

2, WPA

3, WPA2

4, WPA Enterprise

5, WPA2 Enterprise

I wish the Ipad was as user friendly as I was led to believe. Maybe I'll master it soon.

Thanks

The "Enterprise" and "RADIUS" are for businesses, and you won't ever use them at home.

Personal - Standalone (Home) use, doesn't tie into a master password system.

WEP - Old, Can be broken in minutes

WPA - Newer, Can be broken in days

WPA2 - Newest, Can be broken in weeks

You always want to use WPA2, and would only use one of the others if you can't use WPA2. (Some older devices don't support the newer, better, encryption.)

If you worry about the neighbors kid cracking your password over two or three months, change it regularly.

LONG passwords, called pass phrases, really improve security. A short sentence is as close to unbreakable as a home user can get.

WEP is Wired Equivalent Privacy, it is outdated

WEP was replaced by WPA Wi-Fi Protected Access,

    WPA2 replaced WPA http://www.openxtra.co.uk/articles/wpa-v%E2%80%A6

Radius is a system used by servers

a server is like a city bus transfer station, a router is more like a bus stop

Enterprise and personal are different levels of protection, radius and enterprise use ways of making you prove that you belong to the network you are trying to access

They are all ways of preventing someone from getting into your wireless device, by using the same wireless signal, in a way they are similar to having a private or a party phone line

WPA2 with a strong password of random numbers, letters and symbols is sufficient

It is also similar to how cordless phones have evolved to avoid interference and eavesdropping, they went from 900Mhz to 5.8 Ghz, to keep people with scanners from listening to your phone calls

    here is some password advice

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/online%E2%80%A6

Basically they all just block someone from getting into your device, your smart phone, your ipod touch, you lap top. Anything that uses a wi-fi signal from any where. Wi-fi signals can be found at hotspots like coffee shops, bars, airports etc, or they can be used at a business to connect many computers to the same server, or they can be used at home, using a router, to allow more than one device to connect to the internet through your modem. Just like anything else the bad guys figure out a way in, so the good guys have to develop better means of protection.

WEP encryption is obsolete, it can be cracked in minutes by someone who knows what they are doing. WPA/TKIP is also crackable. You should be using WPA/AES or WPA2 for your wireless devices.

There may well be a very good sort of motives while its in a school. one million. they think of you're a "hacker/sniffer" based of the policies over the community. no be counted if it rather is secured or open. 2. in case you have ever used it with static ip-tackle 3. college basically help X sort of clientele related at as quickly as 4. attempt to delete the wifi and then reconnect.

Assuming you are trying to set it up at home, you need the name of the wifi set up at your house. If it is a standard, nothing special, use the WEP security. You dont just make up a wifi name, it has to already be in existance.
