How to train a dog that won't just pee but has to mark everything?

First off- the dog is 100% house trained- he has never had one accident in our house since we adopted him in February. That is not the problem.

We live in an condo so we have to walk our dog outside to go to the bathroom (no arguments about this please, it's a large condo, but we just don't have a fenced in yard, and he gets lots of exercise at the local park next door). When he goes outside, he likes to pee tiny amounts, just marking each tree or bush. Since he is in our yard the most, he now will barely pee in our area, so we have to walk him all over the complex until he is empty. This consists of a good 15 minute walk until he is done. Same with pooping, he will not do it in our yard, only on walks after around 10 minutes.

Really, I don't mind having to walk him, but when it's raining, (and come winter when it's freezing) I really don't want to stand in the rain while he takes his sweet time marking instead of just doing his business!

How can I teach him to just do it all in the yard at once??

Update:

Whoops! Should have added- he is neutered and has been since before he was adopted!

That's what most male dogs do, neutered or not. They like to mark. Some female dogs like to mark, too.

I would probably recommend just letting him mark once, and then go back inside. You may need to go outside again in an hour or so until he learns, since he'll still have pee in him. I think now, he knows that he's going to be passing other trees that he'll want to mark on, so he's saving his pee for them. But, once he understands that every time you go out he only gets one chance to go, he'll just pee all his pee at once.

Pooping always takes my dog at least that long, the only way I know to hurry them up a bit it to teach the command "go potty" or whatever you want to say, and give a treat or at least praise after they're done. If they're motivated for a treat, they'll hurry it up.

Honestly i think its just a male thing, just be glad he's doing it outside.... A lot of people think if you get him fixed he will stop marking, but that not true for all dogs. We got our 13 y/o male fixed at 6 mos. and he still does it.

You need to get him fixed right away! The earlier the better.:) we fixed my apbt at 6 months and he doesn't mark at all. Good luck!
