I rented there. Most apt communities do credit checks. Some will advertise that they take bad credit, but they may charge you more by the month, so be smart about this. The best way is to rent from a private owner. There are so many apartments that people are stuck with cause no one can sell or buy, so people are kinda desperate to rent out. Try Craigslist, but beware the scammers who pretend to be owners but rent out someone else's repossessed homes and run with the deposit and first month's rent. Talk directly to owners. There are ways to find out the real owners' names, link below. SEarch by name or address. This info is legitimate and up to date. Don't rely on what people say, vegas is a breeding ground for property scammers. If you have a car, try driving through streets and look for for rent signs in front of homes, this would be better than Craigslist, cause at least the person is advertising in the public eye. Times are tough, so be cautious.

You should just go to that area and get the number or go in to every apartment and ask. That's the easiest way :)
