I think Luck has the potential to be every bit as good as Peyton was. He's already playing better than Peyton played as a rookie. Honestly, he's playing as good as Peyton did on about his 3rd or 4th year. But don't expect great things right away. As that Redskins game was indication. The Colts team still needs a better defense to compete with good defenses like the Redskins and the offense needs to improve the offensive line to better protect Andrew and to improve the running game. I'm not really worried about Luck, it's more the rest of the team.
For example, Chistensen the QB coach was already wanting to try out advanced drills with Luck because he's ready. But as one person said, the rest of the team isn't ready for that. Luck picks things up incredibly fast. And the rest of the team is just trying to keep up.
To me, I think the Colts are starting to become something extremely great. They are adding, size, speed, balance, aggression, etc and they have a good coaching staff. Peyton never had a balanced team or a team with size. Also I like how the Colts are adding more wrinkles on offense....more running, having Wayne go in motion, doing 2 TE sets, etc.
Luck is going to be exceptionally exceptionally good. Heck he knocked off John Elway's records in just 3 years when it took Elway 4 to set them at Stanford. And on smarts, Luck is off the scale. High school valedictorian, straight A's in architectural engineering at Stanford while graduating a half year early. And then he has the kind of drive of Peyton. To me, he's like an upgraded version of Peyton Manning. And Peyton was just plain awesome.
Give this Colts team a few years to get good. Remember, Peyton went 3-13 his first year and it wasn't until his 6th year that he actually won a playoff game. I think Luck will start out faster and better than that, but don't expect this team to be as good as the Peyton Manning era in its prime right out of the gate. It will get there and I think Luck will win more Super Bowls than Peyton did as a Colt.

Na. The he'll become Mr. Andrew Luck. The greatest QB to ever play the game. By playing better than manning did.

Andrew Luck will be a good QB for the Colts, just like Manning was, he just needs a better O-Line

He will be a great player but not as good as Peyton Manning. Luck will win a super bowl in his career.
