Good audition song for a musical???
I am auditioning for the musical "The Wiz" soon. I need to find a good song that could possibly get me the role of Dorothy. What are some possibilities? THANKS!

DO NOT sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow! It's overdone and your director will hate you!
Try:
-Anything Goes (Anything Goes)
-What I Did For Love (A Chorus Line)
-Cabaret (Cabaret)
-A Little Priest (Sweeney Todd)
-How Could I Ever Know (The Secret Garden)
I don't know your vocal range a I just gave you a variety. Break a leg!

I would do something that not many people sing at auditions. Sing a song that is rarely done (only if you can sing it) as the judges will be impressed to hear a new song rather than one that's been sung a hundred times before which makes them sick to the ears.

If it was me, I would try something from the Sound of Music. You should do something that either you know you're great at, or a song from a musical you love.
