Why not gay marriage?
Can someone give me one solid non-religious reason that our government should define marriage as between a man and a woman?
Ah Redban, the slippery slope fallacy. We are talking about marriage between two consenting adults here.
N: Not getting much here, as you can see. I think I hear the crickets chirping in the background. Guess there is no reason if you take religion off the table.
Lucile:So providing a way to transfer assets upon the death of one partner without going through the court system, providing a way to quickly establish next of kin in an emergency, and providing tax benefits serves no purpose?
Additional question: Is the purpose of marriage procreation? If it is, why do we allow heterosexual couples who do not wish to have children or cannot have children marry? If this is the argument, anyone who is infertile should not be allowed to marry because they cannot procreate.

Gay marriage serves no purpose. Homosexuals need the cooperation of heterosexuals to reproduce (or they expect us to hand them children). If they have to FAKE everything then why bother? They even have to fake the sex because two holes or two poles just don't work properly together. It's nasty and wrong, get it? Unnatural, if you prefer, since 'nothing is wrong, it's all choices'. Right?
I'm sure there are other ways to do that besides marriage. Never mind the tax benefits though. Why should they save money by being perverts? That isn't marriage.
It is part of the purpose, yes. I think it's okay to choose not to though. And if you can't, well you just can't. But homosexuals will never in a million years procreate amongst themselves. I'll tell you what though: If they'll leave the kids alone I'll stay out of the gay marriage debate. Let them call their perversion a marriage, just don't stick innocent children in the middle of it and call it a family. FAKE AND DANGEROUS. Shouldn't experimenting on kids be illegal? Do we have to just wait and see if they turn out okay?
