Is there an eBook reader that can read PDF files?

I'm a heavy reader and tend to read a lot PDF eBooks on my computer. I want to get an eBook reading device, but as far as I know, most eBook readers use their own type of file when the only file type I use for eBook files is PDF.

So, does anybody know a good eBook reader that can use PDF files and is not restricted to ePub or any other brand file types?

Many tablets can handle PDF files natively. The Kindle tablet can handle PDF very well too, there's a very good user opinion here, on its ability of handling PDF files:

However, watch out as new Kindle models are coming out shortly. They'll be better than the old models it'll be good to just wait a bit. Just read one or two customer reviews on the new models when they are out, and you'll be able to decide which to pick.

Most of the current eReaders will display PDF files. PDFs are great but the drawback is that because they are created to resemble printed books and are designed to be viewed on computer monitors and printed on home-printers, they are not formatted to reflow text like dedicated ebook files. So the text in many PDFs is fixed and may look way too small on an eReader screen. You will only be able to enlarge text and scroll to read. You can convert PDFs to epub or other filetypes using CALIBRE (free download) or one of the free online conversion services.

Pretty much every reader on the market can read pdf files. The Kindle, Sony, Nook, Aluratek and every other reader I've ever seen supports this format.

Most ebook readers - Kindles, Nooks, etc. - as well as most tablets - iPad, Samsung, etc. - can read PDF files.
