My dishwasher just broke. Any recommendations?

Maytag/Whirlpool are good, quality machines. You can get a model with places to hold the sippy cups in place. Go to a store with an appliance showroom, such as Lowe's or Sears. Tell the salesperson what you are looking for in a dishwasher. Do not let them talk you into the extended warranty. If you feel you need one, buy it from the manufacturer for a lot less money. Their websites have all the info. Come to think of it, why not visit their websites to check out models before you go to the store?

Yeah, sell it for parts. You really don't need a dishwasher, we'removing into a new place soon and the one thing we can agree on is no dishwasher, it makes people lazy, it uses a huge amount of water, it's just really really not needed. We could get on as its all new stuff going into our place but we won't, don't like them, my take on it is if you can't get your hands a little wet every now and then then that is sad in itself, we'd dump it, have it recycled..Better things to do than dealin with dishwashers......

If you are unaware about the knowledge of how to fix the problems of electrical appliances, then it is better to have a suitable assistance or guidance of an expert. If not, then you can fix the problem at your own also. Just by removing a couple of fasteners, you can replace and remove the pump. Sometimes problem lies in the timer which can also be removed manually.
