    yes. period. ALL Brazilian JiuJitsu delineates from the Gracie family, it's that simple. It may be quite far removed from the "original"...but nevertheless the Gracie family started it all after learning from Maeda Sensei. This is where the rift exists. Basically Gracie Jujutsu was not intended just for sport, but self defense, it also wasn't stressed as something 'different/better' than Japanese Jujutsu, it was just their family brand of Jujutsu. The Generic term "Brazilian Jiujitsu" is commonly used, even by the Gracies, but many people consider it: Gracie Jiujitsu=the original BJJ= the generic sport jiujitsu everyone does all over the world

    I've liked it as it's not much of my time out of the day. People should be nicer, it'll make the world a better place.
