/sighs I hate when people have to be jerks like that. On topic though, from my own research, it seems that create a team is sadly gone from Madden 13. Every year I've hoped for improvements to it, and now they've yanked it entirely. So we can't build our own custom teams from the ground up like an expansion team. I've also tried to find out if you can relocate your teams in Connected Careers, and while I haven't been able to find a definitive answer, my guess is that isn't in the game either. Along with no fantasy drafts and various other features that shouldn't have been pulled. Maybe EA is setting us up to get all of them back on the next gen consoles. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
