In most cities, special ordinances were passed essentially making it impossible for them to protest without being carted off. New York City and London had them carted off by issuing ultimatums based on the fact that they were on private property. I think they would have stayed otherwise, but their permanent camps have been made near impossible without on the spot arrest.

Occupy Wall Street never had a mission. It was a fad started by some spoiled Generation XYZ that felt that they were "entitled" and do not have to work hard nor save money. This kind of sounds like a particular ethnic group that votes one way for the last recent decades.

Folks are waiting to see the results of this election. If the GOP/Tea/Fox/Jesus freak party buys up this election and begins to pass laws that are designed to $%^& over the 'working class' and advantage the 'investing class' you'll see plenty of people in the streets again.
