what is the song "blown away" by carrie underwood about?

what is the song "blown away" by carrie underwood about? to me it sounds like it is about her mother (or herself) not waking her father/husband up during a tornado and she takes shelter and locks him out... am i correct or is it about something else? thank you for you time to read this even if you could'nt provide an answer.

The perspective is coming from her,her mom passed away(Momma was an angel in the ground) so its just herself and her dad, after years of abuse and her dad being an alcoholic(Daddy was a mean old mister)if you watch the video he is shown several times drinking;she decided to use the impending twister to get her revenge after her dad passed out on the couch,(Some people called it taking shelter, she called it sweet revenge).

Basically she was tired of the abuse, alcoholism etc. from her father and this is what she saw fit as a way out of it.

Hopefully that helps you out somewhat.

For starters, Carrie didn't co-write the song and it is in no way about her life. It's a song about an abusive father and as revenge, the daughter lets a tornado come and ''blow him away''.

It's about a girl who has an abusive father. and when it starts storming and there's a tornado she try's waking him up, but gives up and takes shelter. Which means he gets crushed in his sleep.
