No, it will keep right on going but there are some things happening that you should be aware of that's going on this year and into next year. It's nothing new but it can cause disruptions and it's always good to be ready for life's little hiccups.
What I'm talking about, along with what NASA is tracking is the Solar maximum or solar max which is the period of greatest solar activity in the solar cycle of the sun which could send massive solar storms our way this year and into next. Why is this a big deal? Solar storms of this magnitude can take down our power grid and send us back to a time before we had electricity. So think of not having power for a few days, to a week or some experts say as much as 1-4years, the time it would take to repair to a partial state of operation depending on the size of the storm. Everything we do or use in some way revolves around having power. How will I communicate without my cell phone or computer? How will I eat if the trucks that restock the grocery store don’t have fuel? How will farmers plant crops? How will I cook or refrigerate my food, if I can find any food? Where will I get water to drink if all the water stations are down? If you can’t go to work because of an emergency do you think the government workers will be able to? Who will fix everything? These storms have hit before but it was before we had an electrical grid, the last one was around the time the telegraph was invented in the 1800's. You can read more about it just follow the link below.
Nobody knows for sure what’s going to happen on December 21, 2012, most likely not a thing but getting ready for Christmas, but it might not be such a bad idea to just be prepared for whatever we might encounter on the 364 other days of the year. Recognizing impending hazards and knowing what to do to protect yourself and your family will help you take effective steps to prepare beforehand and aid recovery after the event. A good boy scout is always prepared and ready. You can always get prepared for any emergency and I recommend http://www.thesurvivalplace.com/ for all your emergency survival needs and prepping supplies.

On 21st December 2012, the same thing will happen as on every previous predicted date for the end of the world....
Nothing.
People will get up, go to work or school and come home in the evening, just as for a normal day. They will watch the evening TV news, at the end of which there might be a comical item about doomsday nuts barricading themselves into their underground bunkers or taking to the hills.
And that's it.
People have either never heard of it or know it to be nonsense. Mostly, they routinely ignore idiotic doomsday predictions because they know perfectly well that they will amount to nothing.
21st December 2012 will be just an ordinary day and there's no scientific evidence that says otherwise.

Sane people know that it is almost certain that absolutely nothing out of the ordinary is going to happen. Wacko nutjobs worry about nonexistent Mayan prophecies, the mythical Planet X, impossible pole shifts, totally insignificant galactic or planetary alignments, unpredictable and harmless solar activity, and the nonspecific "i feel like something awful is going to happen". I probably left a few wacko theories out, but you get the idea.
Oh, and how does it feel to have asked the same inane question that has already been asked probably a thousand times on this site?
Edit: I actually searched for references to 21 December 2012, and came up with over 6700 hits. Why people insist on asking the same stupid question this many times is a complete mystery to me.

The world will vanish but at the exact same moment a new Earth will come into existence and no one will know anything had happened, the only different is there will be no colour pink.

Dec 21st is the Summer Solstice for Australia and the Winter Solstice for the U.S.
Dec 21st is the last day of the Mayan Long Count Calender. 22 Dec it starts over.
Dec 21st is the day all the doomsday NUTS will have to come up with a new date.

My Far Side calendar will either be stuck on that date for eternity, or I will be alive to flip it December 22nd to experience another bizarre and hilarious outburst generously donated from the mind of Don Larson. Result? Another day of uproarious laughter.

Nothing will happen. In the Bible it says that no man knows when the Earth will end, not even the son (Jesus) only God himself knows the day of the end of the world. There have been so many predictions of the end of the world. I can garuantee nothing will happen.
