Acer Aspire V3-571G problem?
One month ago I bought an Acer Aspire V3-571G laptop. Ever since the first time I powered it up, I started having problems with it. It overheats to 90-95 degrees whenever I start a game like CS:S or GTA IV, and when idle the temp is 45-50 degrees. The other thing is the GPU which doesn't run 3D games at more than 30-40 FPS, so I'm forced to run the games from the built-in GPU, which i've listed in the specs below:
CPU: Intel Core i7 3610QM - 2.3 Ghz up to 3.3 GHz
GPU: nVidia GeForce GT 640M with 2GB VRAM
RAM: 8GB
DVD: Super multi-DL Drive
HDD: 1 TB
WLAN: Acer Nplify 802.11 a/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
My friend has an Acer Aspire 5755G laptop with a GeForce 630M GPU and doesn't have problems with it, and his laptop doesn't overheat too. What can be the problem with mine? Is it defective and I have to exchange it, or is there a way to fix this? Please help me thanks in advance.
I forgot to mention the built-in GPU - Intel HD Graphics 4000

Yeah, I have the exact same laptop as you (but with 4GB of RAM). It can get really hot when you play games, but I think it's normal. If the dedicated GPU runs slower than the built-in one, then there is something wrong. But you should contact Acer if you think it has problems.
