The Tea Party is not a political party. They don't have any candidates.

There are dozens of political parties with candidates running for President this year.

Tea Party isn't a political party, its a movement mostly comprising of republicans.

The largest minor party is the Libertarian party(3rd largest political party) , there sort of what the tea party believes in less government, end the fed, end the IRS, less government, more freedom. They actually have a good candidate this year, Gary Johnson.

The next largest is the Constitution party, there sort of like the Libertarian party but has a much greater emphasis on religion, and border protection, In my opinion they have a weak candidate this year, Virgil Goode he just doesn't appeal to most people. They were the 3rd largest at one point a couple years ago, but it seems the libertarian party is doing a lot better now.

After that the numbers drop but you have the Green Party, which are pretty much socialist liberals.

The Tea Party isn't a political party..it is just the most irritating part of the GOP. The Green Party, The Libertarian Party, The Conservative Party..I am sure that there are more. Independent isn't a party either..it is the absence of party affiliation.

Here is a long list...scroll down until it says "Minor parties."

The Tea Party isn't really a political party. Its more like a general term for a very wide range of organizations. The only thing they all have in common, is that they want less federal government have less power.

The biggest third party, is the Libertarian Party. They have Gary Johnson, on all 50 state ballots.
