Thunder vs. Lakers
Thunder in 6
The Lakers are heavily built now, but that doesn't mean anything. The Heat had an all-star lineup but lost to the Mavs in their first finals appearance. The Laker's aged guards (Kobe and Nash) will have a hard time defending the Thunder's Westbrook and Durant, so the backbone for this Lakers team will rely heavily on their post game with Pau and Dwight. Ibaka will have no problem defending the low post (as seen in last year's playoffs).
But it's not just the individuals that will affect the outcome. Oklahoma had an incredible run last year defeating the defending champ Mavericks, and heavy favorite Spurs and Lakers, but ultimately fell to a more experienced Miami club. The Thunder will come back stronger than ever now that they've signed back all their best players.
I have a feeling Durant will reach his peak this season, and Westbook and Harden have learned a lot from last years playoffs too. The Lakers will have to mesh perfectly in order to take out this much younger squad.
Overall, the star-studded Lakers will definitely be the Western Conference Favorites but ultimately, (in my opinion) will not have enough fire power to defeat the defending Western Conference Champions Thunder Squad

BQ: 3rd Choice?
The Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets squad was phenomeal last year and a huge underdog taking the Lakers to game 7. With the addition of (Team USA Gold Medalist) Andre Iquodala, they will defintely improve in terms of raw talent and be a huge threat in the west!
(In my opinion) the Spurs have reached their peak long ago, they're facing much younger teams this year, Parker and Duncan will have a hard time competing against them.
EDIT:
@Pokemon Trainer
I completely understand why you think I'm bias, lol, because my favorite team is the Thunder. But think about it, what "young guns" do the Spurs have? They basically have the same roster as last year, which is an older mature team.
I'm not doubting that Parker, Ginobili and Duncan won't do their part but faced against teams like OKC, LA, Memphis and Denver, it will be much more difficult this year than last year
I'm not counting them out of the West, but I would take Denver over them
@Pokemon Trainer
Ok well this has all of sudden turned into an argument about the Spurs bench. This question was which 2 teams in the finals and a 3rd. I picked Denver because I believe that last years Playoffs and Season for the Nuggest was promising, and this year, with the addition of Iggy, they'll be contenders.
I already said the Spurs roster is basically the same as last year, their young guns will do little to help the Spurs because they are heavily built around the big 3.
I can understand why you're getting upset, I'd get upset if someone said my favorite team had little chance. But why throw in the "Stern" comment? Even if that was true, what does that have to do with this argument

Lakers and OKC in the WCF. As of right now, they are the best two teams in the west in my opinion. Despite the addition of Dwight and Nash, I still the young boys in OKC along with Scott Brooks making the push to the finals in 7 games. Though, Denver can be dangerous this year. Not just someone to wonder abou but to watch out for. All they needed was a star and/or a great leader to pull all those prices together. Lastly, I have the spurs being that 3rd or 4th seed with Denver.
1. OKC
2. Lakers
3. Spurs
4. Denver

Honestly: Lakers vs Spurs.
Everyone will doubt the Spurs again all year, and they'll just coast their way through, and i wouldn't doubt it if they get the 1 seed again. Tony Parker will follow up on last year when they finally ran the offense through him. Honestly I thought the thunder beating the Spurs last year was a fluke. The Spurs spotted them the first half in game 5. Plus I just don't trust a "jumpshooting" team.
Lakers will probably get the 2-3 seed, and come playoff time I think their star power will be enough to make the WCF at least.
BQ: Thunder or Mavs(due to depth)

Lakers vs. Thunder. Lakers win in 6. The Lakers are simply better on paper. Westbrook is too unreliable as a second option. The Lakers have improved dramatically since last season, and the Thunder haven't improved at all.
Third choice is the Clippers. I think they have the talent.
The Spurs are a rotting corpse. They haven't been to the finals in like 6 years. Duncan is a shell of his former self and they rely on jump shots too much. Parker is still great though.

If everybody is healthy then I think Lakers vs Thunder/Spurs. I'm not counting out
every other team though. I think the Mavericks can also get there though because
of their veteran leadership and good frountcourt. Maybe the Grizzlies can also make
it because of their big frountcourt or even the Clippers if the management finally finds
out that Chris Paul is actually coaching the team. Heck even the Nuggets can make
it. Just don't count out anybody in the West.
BQ:Did I tell you that I was Patrick Ewing. Yeah the one you blocked

Lakers and Thunder. No need for any analysis. Look at it from paper to any angle, both teams are just too strong, the only way the Thunder can win is if Nash, Kobe, D12 or Pau gets injured.
BQ: I think the Mavs, they are extremely underrated. Look at it this way:
O.J. Mayo > Jason Terry(Old)
Darren Collison > Jason Kidd(Old)
Chris Kaman > Brendan Haywood
Elton Brand > Odom and Ian Mahinmi
Duncan is too washed-up and Manu didn't even impress me when I saw him in the Olympics.

Spurs vs Thunder, Lakers can't match Spurs depth. Lakers as 3rd.
@ Boston loves- bro no offense but how the heck are nuggets and clippers better than spurs, It's like the Spurs don't exist in the off-season. I'm used to it and now i don't care who writes out the spurs. the same faces will get shocked as usual. NO ONE EVER LEARNS HONESTLY THOUGH LOL
Don't count out Spurs.
@ It's Thunder time- No offense but your biased as hell, your one of those people that always complain how old spurs are and stuff. Youu never learn do you. Yes we are getting younger but our young guns are getting better. Spurs>Lakers, only a few people look at how good teams are, biased fans just look at the roster and say who is better. I cant wait for Spurs to suprise everyone next season
@Thunder- do u know NBA for real. We have Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, Patty mills gets 10 ppg 2-3 assists in 12 minutes of play. HOW DARE YOU SAY WE HAVE NO YOUNG GUNS. we would not have gotten 1st place last year if we didn't have them ok. and no your not biased for being a okc fan but for being one of those people that say Spurs can't contend, and BTW, Stern gave that trip to the Finals.
