"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better." 
Did I mention that he, Senator Barack H. Obama, said this to the U.S. Senate in March 2006?

He should admit these words were NOT his; Bill Clinton's star speechwriter created them.  This particular speech was Obama's "ping test", sent out to see the level of support he and Clinton hoped for; to help figure out IF it's feasible to run for POTUS.

But then, THAT admission might lead the curious to uncover an ugly truth--- that Clinton "discovered" THE Democrat bold enough to run for POTUS, accept his ( Clinton's ) "help" getting elected--IF Obama agrees to galvanize Clinton's "United Health Care Act" ( Obamacare's REAL name ) into law. 

Oh....and give Hillary a cozy top dog job within the Cabinet, please?

He should say that America had a balanced budget from 1998-2001, when the Republicans, like winos in a liquor store, completely forgot they were on the way to the bank to deposit the paycheck, and blew the budget on tax cuts and then started borrowing for two wars.
If the budget had still been balanced in 2008, McCain probably would have been elected President and Obama might have been re-elected Senator in 2010.
