about the sims 3 characters?

As you keep playing the sims 3, do more and more characters come? I know the other sims have babies and they get older, but will it ever end?

I've heard one gamer that her town was nearly depleted of people who weren't part of her sims family. And, I've head from another simmer that her town consisted mostly of sims of one sex.

For me, new sims come regularly, including sims I've never seen around town before. I've seen new sims move into houses in the neighborhood, too, because there have been times where I've found a house to move my sims into but had to build up the money, and when they finally had teh money, the house was now occupied by a new family. This happens a lot, actually. BUT...I turn off aging for a considerable amount of time when i'm playing with my family and this gives other sims time to procreate and gives enough time for new people to move into the neighborhood, I guess.

I had a similar curiousity. I went into the Edit Town mode and I evicted almost all the families, except the ones I had created on my own. Then, when my Sim checked the newspaper that same day, it announced that more families were moving in. It was cool because my town was full of old people and these new families were bringing in young couples and babies. I thought that was interesting!

I just realized that for mine after I played it for so many hours, days, weeks, etc More and more characters come BUT my game will crash after a while and it just defects very easily (faster if you use cheats) So I don't know if it ever really ends, but I do know that after playing it so long, it crashes and you would have to start a new one or something.
