How do you ask a guy out in 8th grade? Please help. ?
Okay so there is this boy I really really like. I have only known him since last spring but we are friends. We texted 24/7 for about a month. He had a cruch on a different girl but hasnt talked about her in a long time Now that school has started I want to ask him out. 2 problems
1. I have never asked anyone out before.
2. I don't know what you do and where you go on a date.
Please if you could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advanced.

Well I'm in the 8th grade and I currently have my first boyfriend right now, so all this advice is coming from an not so relationship/socially experienced 13 year old. Just too be warned!
Anyways, the first thing I would do is find out if he still likes the girl, or a girl, or even has a girlfriend, because you don't want to try to catch a fish that has already been caught. There's no use, and/or you would be known as a thief. Ask some nonchalant question through text or if you need an example: you and him flirt, then if he continues it, be like: 'Okay, we better stop before you girlfriend gets angry" or "will your girlfriend be okay with this?". The key is to make it sound like a joke, while you actually get some info on him.
Okay, when that's all cleared up, I guess you just do it. The first time I asked someone out was in 4th grade, and I know that sounds either stupid, weird, or shocking, but it's true. But I was like 9. I was pretty much maturing right there and we knew the concept of crushes and very very simple dating. I just went up there and asked. Sure he said no, but it was whatever after a week.
Before you ask him out, ask him what moods he is in first. You don't want to catch him on a bad mood. Then, if he responds back that he's happy or some junk, just do it. You just have to remember that the worst that can happen really isn't so bad. It's better to try then not try, because if you don't try, you don't want to torture yourself by wondering if he would've said yes or no. Good luck. I really hopes this works out for you!

A week before school this summer, my current boyfriend asked me out by text. We had known each other in 3rd grade, lost contact from 4th grade to 6th grade. Had a class and flirted in 7th grade, and 8th grade just started and everyone already knows. He used the mood asking method on me and I love it. Also, school started on August 27.)
