Wdyt of Finlan with the nn Finn?

It's an Irish name, usually a surname.

I'm not a huge fan of Finley or Finnegan or Finnian, but Finlan is growing on me.

Is it too close to Finland?

Nickname would be Finn.

I like Finlan :) i've not really heard it before, i prefer it to Finley, Finnegan and Finnian :) I also really like Finn as a nickname.

And, to the other commenter, saying Niall is a better Irish name than Finlan is a matter of opinion... just saying.

LOVE IT!!! I also really like Finley, Finnegan, and Finnian, but I like Finlan :) Never heard it before, but it's super cute and really sweet and I think it's kind of a more unique version of Finnegan or Finnian, which are really common where I live at least. Didn't even think of Finland until you mentioned it, so I'd say definitely not too close :)

PS Finn is one of my fave names so I loveeee the idea of Finlan with Finn as a nn

    :)

Finlan is quite lovely actually. When I first looked at it, I was pretty apprehensive, but it's gorgeous. I do still prefer Finlay or Finley, but it's lovely. I love Finn as a nickname.

I prefer just Finn, it seems more like a first name.
