I'm not sure if you need help or just want someone to answer the questions for you. So I'll guide you through some of them.
1. You can figure this out. Inhalation is obviously not the answer, that involves breathing it in. What do you have to do to get something into your digestive tract?
2. There are many kinds of respirator cartridges that filter out different chemicals. The answer depends on how concentrated the material is that you're trying to filter, in other words, how many molecules or particles are there? Since you don't know offhand, the answer is likely False.
3. I'll give you this one. It's b, sodium metal. It's a fascinating chemical, if you toss a piece into water, it blows up. Yet when you combine it with chlorine to make sodium chloride (common salt) it's harmless.
4. An organic peroxide contributes both oxygen to support an explosion, and the carbon portion (the "organic" part) to explode, so it's definitely a hazardous material and the answer is true.
5. You can answer that. Look up to see how many people die on the highways each year. Then just think about how many people die at school, work or on the football field.
6. Oil and petroleum products can dissolve rubber. So now what do you think your answer should be?
7. The answer is a, when it's dry. Picric acid is a yellow solid that is kind of pasty when moist. It's sold with about 40% moisture in it. But it's highly explosive when it dries, and even a few crystals around the cap that may dry up can cause the cap to explode from the friction when it's twisted open.
8. Think about it, you can use your intuition to answer this one.
9. Water conducts electricity. So if you have an electrical appartaus that is on fire, is it a good idea to hold a stream of water on it?
10. This is a little more difficult to explain. The answer is false. Flash point is the temperature at which the chemical produces enough vapor so that a spark in the air above it can cause it to ignite.
11. Does water mix with oil or grease? What happens if you spray some water on grease that is on fire?
12. You can answer this. Look up the definition of "cryogenic".
13. I'm sure you have this in your textbook somewhere. It's important for you to understand it because it shows the difference between something igniting (like a gas flame on a stove) and something exploding.
14. Figure this out. Is it a mechanical or physical hazard, like dropping something on your foot or getting caught in a bicycle chain? Obviously not. That leaves the other three answers. Look up the word carcinogen. Is it that? What about the other two?
15. Would you store food, gasoline, fertilizer, and an old paint can in your refrigerator? Then try to think of why it's not a good idea to store unused chemicals in a fume hood.

1) This relatively is determined by what your instructor needs. For mine, she does allow us to take them off when we are done in view that we leave the lab. So it is true for me. Nonetheless, when you ought to stay within the lab even after you might be executed, you must not take off the goggles due to the fact that anything from any person else's test can damage you, for that reason, i'd in general put false on the quiz. 2) proper - we are allowed to. Additionally, the lab coat will quilt your fingers. 3) true?? I don't know your path, so...... Four) False - First tell your teacher, then instantly call the nurse or whoever is accountable for clinical at your college
