Oppinions on university of illinois in champaign?
Im thinking of going to the university of illinois in urbana champaign. I was wondering if it is a good school and if campus life is good and fun.
1-How big are the classes?
2-Is there a lot going on on campus all the time?
3-Is it easy to make friends?
4-Is it ok if you dont have a car to use?
5-Are the professors good?
6-any other oppinoins you want to share?

1. My classes had as few as eight students to several hundred in a lecture section.
2. Plenty of things to do, culturally, socially, athletically, etc. Look at the UIUC schedule on the campus web site and you will see hundreds of activities.
3. Sure it's easy. Just be friendly and talk with fellow students.
4. A car is not recommended. There are few places to park a car on campus, and you will probably be directed to an off-campus lot. Most students walk to campus, and you can get to off-campus activities by bus or taxi.
5. Some of the faculty consists of graduate students, whose abilities vary - but they are supervised by senior faculty. Most of the courses above entry-level are taught by regular faculty; and most are experts in their fields.
6. Learn to spell "opinions."
