Depression - No sleep till last 4 days - suggest me suitable sleeping pills and its dose or anything else.?
I am pregnant, will be having an abortion done once i make up my mind. This has led me to deep depression and i have had no sleep at all since las t four days despite several attempts. I had taken 2 compose pills at night but still i could not sleep though Ihave no weaknes at all. I am not moving out o f my room presently. please tell wht is there for me with yur sugestion.

Deal with your mental status for proper sleep. do not rely on tablets. It seems that you are in a dilemma over the prospect of abortion. Think over it and decide as per your inner feelings.

Decide to not have the abortion and you will sleep better. Realize that if you were to die 3 years ago, where would you be your self right now? You would not be alive right, you would be dead. If you died 8 years ago, the same result, you would be dead right? Same person, same body. If you were killed as a fetus or a zygote, you would be dead, no matter when you are killed the same result is reached, death of an individual human being. Abortion is by all means murder and deep down you know this. It is making you stay awake. Have the child, give it up for adoption or raise it and you will sleep better.

Meditation is a proven technique which provides relief from depression/stress/anxiety/sadness and produce happiness. Meditation can be tried as a natural way to overcome depression and to also increase mental strength to face the problems of day to day life.I would recommend you to try mindfulness of breathing meditation and loving kindness meditation techniques. Going on a meditation retreat would help to a great extent. Having been a meditator for the past 4 years I can swear by the results of meditation.
Loving kindness meditation helps you to get good sleep at night without getting nightmares. Practice this 10mins before sleep.

Do not worry that you have not been sleeping for the last 4 days. This is quite common. Our jawans on the border, sometimes do not sleep for weeks. You just try out the following :
Sleep as much as you need to feel rested; do not oversleep.
Exercise regularly at least 20 minutes daily, ideally 4-5 hours before your bedtime.
Avoid forcing yourself to sleep.
Keep a regular sleep and awakening schedule.
Do not drink caffeinated beverages later than the afternoon (tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.) Avoid "night caps," (alcoholic drinks prior to going to bed).
Do not smoke, especially in the evening.
Do not go to bed hungry.Adjust the environment in the room (lights, temperature, noise, etc.)
Do not go to bed with your worries; try to resolve them before going to bed.
Be advised and your problems will be solved.

To sleep ypu will need to remove you depression. To do it just be happy with what you have. Just go to you friends and share jokes. Watch funny videos. Just give ypurself a reason to laugh. If you still feel depressed just look up( it really works). You can go jogging to refresh. Just be happy as you have plenty of reasons to live for.
