question about stereo systems for home use?

I'm wondering if there are any home stereo systems that allow a person to hook up an external hard drive to it?

If so, where can I find one? Thanks.

    Stereo implies just music. Are you trying to hookup a HDD with MP3 files or are you looking for a home theater system that can handle AVI, MPG, MP4, WMV, FLV, .... video files?
