Does my witness need her mother present?
I'm trying to get custody of my son, and I'm willing to do anything. Hes my baby. Anyway my ex boyfriends, ex girlfriend is possibly willing to testify because she knows A LOT of valuable info but the thing is, is that shes still under 18 (yes I know shes young, no rude comments please). If shes willing to testify and her parents let her, is she able to go to court alone with me or does her mom have to be present too? Or can her mom just type something out saying she gives consent so that she can go without her, or what? Thank you!

Your attorney will explain to you that the relationship between your child's father and someone else is not relevant to the relationship between the father and child. Since the witness' testimony is not admissible, the question of her ability to testify is moot.
However, no, it not nessecary for a minor witness to be accompanied by a parent or even receive parental permission.
