why do we want more, and in the process sometimes ruin our inherent qualities?
I have done it with finite things like relationships and exercise, and that tends to move me correct if I happen to be off because there is push back.

push-back, I'm thinking in this instance comes from jealousy (others around you wanting you to remain miserable like them), sad but true. stay away from toxic folks. there's never been anything wrong with upgrading (materialistically or sociologically), meeting more people can catalyse increased knowledge from both sides... this is a good thing.
