Router and printer problem?
How do I manually allow certain devices to connect to my router instead of making the devices type the key before connecting? Maybe a software that could control my router manually through my laptop? I have a Brother printer and it would always give me a wrong key error, thus wasting more papers and ink, and annoying me more. Btw, is there any way to stop a Brother MFC-J435W from printing for just a simple error like this one?
Thanks for the replies, but it could connect if the router does not have a password. So can we go back to my first question? Btw, I don't really have a problem with my router.

Your router has nothing to do with the problem
The printer driver is located in your computer and tells the printer what to do.
All the router does is pass it on
Go to the Brother web site and download and install the latest driver for your OS

Checked out this printer and it appears that you can connect to the printer wirelessly, all you need to do is to install the software that came with it, so here is how it works:
1- Install the software that came with your printer, at the end of the installation, you will be prompted to connect the printer to your laptop / desktop, do so by following point 2 below
2-Connect the printer to your desktop / laptop via a USB port
3- Use the control panel on the printer to scan the airwaves for wireless connection, select the name of your wireless network, and type your wireless key.
4-Disconnect the USB cable from your laptop / desktop
5- Print from your laptop / desktop
Brother have updated driver software which you can download see link below. Make sure you select the software suitable for your Windows
