Borderlands 2 will have various arena styled survival missions and areas peppered across the game. One of these is the 'Creature Slaughter Dome' DLC which is theoretically an XP buffer for developing characters.

I woulndn't see why it wouldn't
However, it may be in a DLC like Moxxi's Underdome. Generally there is a horde with any random group of Pandoran creatures Burning Psychos, Skags, Spiderants or Rakk's anywhere during gameplay.
