Both fans should be disappointed... I mean both the 2007 mavericks and the 2011 spurs were both number 1 seeded teams.. and were favorites to win..but both team had and 8th seeded matchup that they just couldnt match up with... mavericks played the warriors.and they couldnt match up with them... the spurs mostly lost to the grizzlies due to injuries.. because if manu ginobli wasnt injured in the first game of the playoffs against the grizzlies..it might have been different..but I would say both team should be disappointed..I understand..if the 6th seed would upset a 3rd seed..or a 5th seed would upset a 4th seeded team..but the mavericks and spurs were both first seed.... both should be disappointed..

I would say the spurs. The spurs are a defined championship team unlike the Mavs, so when they get bounced out the first round its disappointing. Plus the Mavs lost the championship prior to '07 and they had a series lead in that one.

2006-07 Mavericks and 2012 Chicago Bulls they also lost the first round because of Injuries.

2007 mavericks because that was the year dirk won the mvp award, so the expectations were higher. while the 2011 spurs were battling injuries all year.
