I am having the same issues right now too, its very uncomfortable to say the least and the symptoms seem to have evolved throughout day 1. Ive felt off balance from being sick before but not such odd pains or body aches and now night anxiety and jaw pain and beginnings of a headache. My thoughts feel a bit "off"

The first time I took Zithromax it was the brand name and I don't think I had any more side effects except some stomach issues and I felt relief quite quickly from my ailment cold/symptoms within the first day or 2. I rarely get prescribed antibiotics and I know I got prescribed the generic the last time too and I don't recall finishing it actually and I got the same generic box again today, I am really weary about taking it again tomorrow although I may convince myself well..... today I did take two at once as it says so maybe tomorrow when I just take one maybe it will have less effects. Even though taking it for 5 days is supposed to last the same as a 30 day supply right? so it will balance out in the blood just the same.

Anyone else in the situation and if its late and can't ask your Dr about it, I know the ER gives benedryl for adverse reactions to medication. I had a bad reaction to a dye for a scan and felt like ripping out my IV and running, not walking but running out of the hospital. I felt CRAZY, but finally the Dr understood and said its actually not so uncommon, he's seen it before. I have not double checked for any reaction between Zithromax and Benydryl so maybe look into it but hey, if it could help why not give it a shot after evaluating the benefits for you. Also double check other meds or vitamins you take that may not react well with it. Im not sure of a better option with having allergies and sensitivities to many things so looks like Ill be suffering either way if there is nothing else.

The infection you are taking it for will probably cause more weight loss than any upset stomach you may experience from the medicine.
