Would having a dedicated drive for fraps files improve performance?

    Possibly, but there would be a ton of factors to consider, for example.

    Is the second drive on it's own unique bus?

    This is a show stopper since the FRAPS files are so darn huge, and the compression algorithm to create them is a monster...which is why they lag so badly. It takes a ton of GPU processor to decompress them and render them.

    You would need a monster GPU card, and a means of threading the FRAPS files from the drive to the GPU and out.....
