What can you subsitute for chickpeas/gabanzo beans in recipes? I hate that bean.?
I don't know any other bean that I don't like, besides the garbanzo bean. Something about the texture I think.
OK i've hated any preparation of them so it's just the whole dang bean I don't like.

Any beans (legumes or 'legumbres') can be used. That includes lentils.
If you work WITH the beans/legumes in advance, you can explore the different POSSIBLE textures the HUNDREDS of varied beans can have (by changing the prior preparation - degree or grinding or milling - flour, grits, whole, bean pastes as "bread spreads", split; soaking, sprouting; and cooking conditions - length and heat and manner of heating the prepared beans; flavorings; presentation).
Eating SMALLER amounts may be one way of your making bean dishes more palatable to you (and your guests). And the LONGER one eats an entirely vegan (plant-based, animal-free) diet, the more metabolically tolerable the beans become (we become better able to digest beans without flatulence).
