dying without a will in NJ?
my mom died without a will. only having children surviving . no property only a bank account .how long to get the money from the account after filing in probate?
nothing is owed no bills or anything like that . how long after filing will it take? no one is contesting it the children know it gets divided equally but we don't know how long it takes.

If all she has is cash it shouldn't take long. I think you have to notify the public that they have a certain amount of time to come after her estate if she owes anyone anything and then the checks get cut for whatever is left. My guess is less than two weeks.
