Have the embassy riots altered your opinion of Americans?

Do you feel Americans are culpable; that they instigated these protests that culminated in part, with the deaths of their own countrymen?

Update:

I ask because the video trailer was made in the U.S. (I'm obviously American) and some here in the states remarked it's our fault this all started since we let that video be made. My thought is if some Americans think that way - is the world viewing us that way too? I appreciate the honest comments.

    Not at all.

The Americans are the victims of Muslim aggression.....the video was not made by an American but even if it had been is that an excuse for the disgusting barbarism we have seen in the middle east?

Nothing in the video was untrue.....so why the outrage?

If the truth is so unpalatable maybe the followers of the religion of peace need to think about the values of the 'faith' they are violently supporting.

I think you need to worry more about what Muslims are thinking and doing and stop blaming Americans for the actions of the barbarians murdering in the name of religion...it is 2012 not the year 600 but in the actions of some ( a large number it appears)it is not clear they know that.

As an American, I understand that we treasure our right to free expression. We cannot prevent somebody from making a movie, even one filled with disgusting lies.

Of course, the producer can be made accountable for those lies afterward. For instance, he tricked the actors into doing the movie, not telling them it was about Mohammad, and dubbing in the offensive passages afterward. They certainly have a case against him. Likely he lied to the people who financed the movie too.

He has served time in prison for bank fraud, and he may be sent back to prison for the frauds he has committed in making this movie.

You see, he couldn't even find actors who would knowingly work on this movie. And he certainly hasn't found much of an audience either. The American people do not support his behavior.

So, no, I don't think any worse of the American people than I did before. Maybe even a little bit better.

My opinion of Americans hasn't changed a jot. Considering that a lot of people regard them as trigger happy warmongers I think they have shown considerable restraint watching their embassies being attacked. The muslims are very lucky Marines were not inside these buildings shooting dead the rioters as they entered the building.

It is time to take the kid gloves off when dealing with these ignorant murdering mobs and fight back.Every day muslims are reinforcing the fact that they are not the religion of peace and are nothing but trouble makers who have no place whatsoever in the civilised western hemisphere.

Not at all - I like Americans and like the civil rights that are available in the USA.

Muslims can not stand criticism of their religion. The things that Muhammad did & the Islamic religion historically did just are not acceptable.

Child marriages, honor killing, women's rights, rights of other religions, human rights, treatment of homosexuals -- all of those issues under sharia (Islamic) law are not treated in an acceptable manner.

Americans have a totally different point of view on those issues.

It's those Muslims again! Yet again it's Muslims causing mayhem and attacking the very people who bent over backwards to help them against the tyrants they keep producing. Once again it's the Muslims biting the hand that feeds them.Once again we are being told that Islam is a religion of peace, and once again the 'peacefu' millions of Muslims sit on their hands and refuse to condemn the murderous rabble who kill in the name of their 'peaceful' god. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that we will need to give up on the Muslims, cut them off and let them stew in their own Shariah.

They are rapidly becoming the scourge of the world!

It was not the American government that made the film, but when you are brainwashed from birth into believing everything that is wrong is the fault of America then it doesn't take much for them to take to the streets
