Noises drive me to suicidal thoughts?

My mom has a phone that makes an EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUS noise. Everytime she clicks it, I want to slam my head into a wall and die. No joke. Any noise that is repetitive like tapping, ice chewing, smacking or anything else makes me cry.

Is this misophonia, or am I just intolerant?

(I'm a 13 yr. old female)

Update:

Spoiled drama queen? I'm a grateful child and I'm very mellow. I suffer daily from this and I feel like there is no exit when noise occurs. Thank you very much. Strange to see you're a top contributor. Very rude and inconsiderate.

My mom chews eyes and I'm worried for her health.

I'm afraid of these noises;

ice chewing

clicking

shoe tapping

pen clicking

voice intonations

airplanes overhead

humming

throat clearing

Update 2:

NOT AFRAID, but the noises that drive me up the wall and the moat away.

Update 3:

ice* not eyes.. god..

I'm pretty sure it's misophonia, unless you have some repressed memories regarding these specific sounds.

Did any bad event occur in your life that was associated with tapping, ice-chewing, smacking, or your mom's phone? If so, you're body reacting terribly to it might be your brain's way of protecting you from relieving those memories.

If not, it's simply misophonia and you should avoid experiencing those sounds or learning to cope with them through a doctor.

    Cheers!

Hey don't listen to the people who tell you to do it. You are bigger than that. All you need to do is think about what the sound is, and not how annoying it is, embrace the sound. It's like eating something otherwise known to you as disgusting or that tastes bad. If you think about what flavors you taste, and not the fact that it tastes bad, it won't taste so bad anymore. I'm not sure if that is misophonia or something else, but i think this could help you either way. P.S. counting to 10 doesn't hurt either :)

There is a guy who works at my office who has a really really annoying cell phone ring and it rings all day long. I would like to grab it and throw it in the toilet and flush it but it never made me want to off myself.

You should probably tell your doctor and get some medicine or something. That is not normal.
