I'm opening one in Southern California so let me know exactly what you like and the pricing you would like to see for the items, thanks!

Yay!! How about opening one up near Peterborough Ontario ????? I would love to see...

    Vegan sheppard's pie

Vegan perogies (I have a recipe for this but haven't made them yet - check the Daiya website)

Tempeh sandwich with fried onions, garlic, rosemary, avocado, bean sprouts, spinach... yummy

Vegan bread... I can never find that in a restaurant

Salads that do not consist of only lettuce, tomato and onion (use a little imagination)

Quinoa with sauteed asparagus, tempeh, fava beans and beets (that's what I had for lunch)

    Vegan loaf with gravy

    Salad bar with unique choices

How's that? Guess who loves "comfort" food :O)

    Vegetables.

    I'm serious.

I'd love to see a menu based off whole, plant foods and spices,

as opposed to wannabe animal-products like faux cheese this and faux meat that.

    Also, hearty fare.

Vegetarians (let alone vegans) where I live are more than accustomed to eating a leaf of wilted lettuce for "dinner", in mainstream restaurants.

I'm in SoCal what city? How about a good TVP meatloaf with a nice rich onion brown gravy and vegan mashed potatoes. Comfort food. Jackfruit can be cooked up to taste like pulled pork or BBQ beef. We make it all the time. Hummus and pita chips, wraps, nice thick root soup or split pea soup. Blackl bean and rice dish. Yay!

Hummus & roasted red pepper sandwiches!

    Macaroni salad w/ veggies

    Cupcakes

    All for $0

Im not really into the "mock" meats.

I'd prefer fresh wraps.. (whole wheat tortillas, w/ a varety of greens, & lots of veggies!)

A good salad bar, and some chips and hummus.

On the days when i do want some comfort food, some mac & cheese would be good too. (:

    Falafel and hummus

    Ethnic cuisine

Eggplant parmesan with [good!] vegan cheese. I suggest Daiya cheese. No hidden animal products, and it tastes just as good as cheese, when it's melted.

Congratulations Ron - as soon as I saw this question I thought 'some moron will say meat'. You didn't disappoint.

I don't really like seitan, so I'd like a dish that makes me say 'WOW - I never thought it could taste soooooo good'. Mind you, you'd have to send it to Britain so I could try it. Hmmm........doing takeaway?
